Field Management Unit (FMU)

The Field Management Unit is a hand held computer designed to monitor the status of Site Monitoring Units, GSM Site Monitoring Units, and Personal Identity Devices and to change their settings when required.

Functions of the Field Monitoring Unit include:

Personal Identity Device Activation and Tamper Reset

The Field Management Unit is used to activate a Personal Identity Device once it has been fitted to the person who is to be monitored. This will normally take place at the curfew location.

Site Monitoring Unit & GSM Monitoring Unit Calibration

When a Site Monitoring Unit or a GSM Site Monitoring Unit is installed at the curfew location, the Field Management Unit can be used to calibrate the boundary range and settings.

Drive-by Monitoring

Drive-by monitoring is a discrete method of monitoring which can be used to verify a person's attendance at certain locations such as work, training and education without disrupting their routine.

Equipment Status

The Field Management Unit screen will display the status of Personal Identity Devices, Site Monitoring Units and GSM Monitoring Units together with the internal configuration, the serial numbers and the battery status.
